Potted Two Ways!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Succulents are all the rage right now and for good reason! They are beautiful and oh so easy to keep alive! I have a succulent garden in my kitchen window and it's not just easy, it's downright out of control! I will have to start cutting on it soon or it will just take over the whole window!

The Potted stamp set from Waffle Flower is one of two they have showcasing these beautiful plants. This set has been on my desk staring at me, waiting patiently for me to use it and yesterday I finally had the chance. It did not disappoint! This arrangement was such fun to color that I had to do it twice!

Both images were heat embossed in gold and the first card I colored in with Copic markers. I used my succulent garden as a guide to the variety of colors besides all of those gorgeous greens. I gave the arrangement a terra cotta pot and added in a few gold accents as well! I didn't have this sentiment in a stamp so I used my MAC to shape it and print it.

For the second card I did a bit of watercoloring using my distress markers and a water brush. More variety of colors here so the greens wouldn't all look the same! I just love the softness and muted colors of watercolors- I definitely need to do this more often!  More gold accents along with hemp cord too!

I even added in a few water droplets with Glossy Accents! It's a soft touch with great texture!

Little Gnomie!

Hi everyone! When I saw the Gnome stamp set from My Favorite Things I had to have it! These little guys are the most adorable and I couldn't wait to color them! This card has been finished for a while now so I think it's high time I put it on my blog!

I started with an inked sunburst background and added in rolling green hills so I could layer in the gnome and toadstools. After coloring all of the images with Copic markers, I added in some glossy accents and tiny colored flower gems. The gnome and his snail buddy are just the cutest!

The inside is clean and simple with lots of open space. One more bright toadstool and tiny snail add just the right amount of color!

Monthly Mini: July

Hi everyone! I have another fabulous mini for the month of July! Instagram is the social media darling right now so of course I had to create a mini devoted to fabulous Instagram photos!

There are so many adorable mini albums available for these tiny pictures. I chose this DCWV Insta Photo Fun mini album because the cover, although polka dotted,  was still neutral that I could layer some of the fabulous Crate Paper 'The Pier' goodies over it! It's the perfect chunky size too- fits right in your hands!

'The Pier' is a super cute collection of sun-washed colors and charming summer and beach scenes. I also used the chipboard pieces, layered stickers and pinwheels and flags embellishments to adorn my pages. There were so many great papers and pieces in the collection that I created extra chipboard pages for more fun and pictures!

The backside of those extra pages!

I love putting pockets in albums- they are perfect for filling with treasured mementos or extra pictures! I made two banner tags that will be great for additional photos or journaling. This pocket is on the inside of the front cover.

These are just some of the adorable 2x2 pockets for the Instagram pictures! There are some shaker pockets and some filled with the smaller chipboard stickers. All of them have a designer paper background and are ready to be filled with a tiny photo!

I also included some larger 4x4 pages for larger pictures or memorabilia. These are some of my favorites!

Another look at this chunky album stuffed with adorable papers, tags and pockets! We are taking a trip in a couple of weeks to Los Angeles to visit our daughter and we are staying in Santa Monica on the beach.  I'll be sure and take lots of Instagram photos to fill this mini album!

Thanks for checking out my blog! Be Happy!!
