The Alley Way Stamps July Release Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Today is the day! It is the fabulous TAWS blog hop to show off all of the new stamps for July! One lucky reader will win the ENTIRE release so be sure and comment as many times as you can!

When I saw the Seeing Spots background stamp for the first time, I immediately thought of confetti! Confetti is always bright and fun and happy and if you know me, I'm all about happy! So I created a party card with this awesome new stamp in the spirit of confetti! I used bright distress inks (is that an oxymoron?) and to make it even more interesting cut the background into strips and adhered them at different levels on the card front!

I also cut the edge of the card to match the strips and added in a super fun sentiment from the Spell Check set! Lots of bright colored twine adds to the party feel too!

I added more spots on the bottom edge of the inside so they can be seen from the front when the card is closed! I also stamped a happy sentiment which is my daily mantra! All of the fab TAWS designers are below and you must check out what they have created for the is wonderful blog hop!

TAWS July Sneak Peek Day #1!

Whoo hoo, it's my favorite time of the month! Time to start the sneak peeks for awesome new stamp sets from The Alley Way Stamps! Plus, leave a comment on the TAWS blog and on our Facebook page for your chance to win this new set!

I am giving you a peek of the fabulous new set, Pick One! So excited for this set and I am sure you will be seeing lots of it on my blog! I am showing just one small image from the set and you must visit the TAWS blog to see more from the other designers!

Sympathy cards are unfortunately a necessity and I think they should be just as pretty as other crds. I stamped this sprig from the new Pick One set in VersaMark ink and then colored them with Perfect Pearls pigment inks. Beautiful and soothing! I also added in some small polka dots also colored with the pigment inks and an embossed sentiment also from the set.

Here is a close-up of this sweet image and the gorgeous shine  of the Perfect Pearls! Perfect on this dark background!

The inside features another beautiful sprig and a soothing sentiment from Speak Easy.  Just right for someone going through a difficult time.

Make sure to visit the TAWS blog for more sneak peeks tomorrow and Sunday.  The big July release blog hop will be on June 30th and all of the new stamps will be available July 1st!

Striped Shaker!

Hi everyone! The new SVG cut files from The Alley Way Stamps are so awesome! They work with all die cutting machines and I know with the Silhouette, you can change things around a bit and create even more fabulous designs!

That's exactly what I did with this card! I used the photo frame from the Framed Out svg file, made it a bit wider and longer, and combined it with the 'Thanks' image from the Big Chatter svg file to create an adorable shaker for the front of this happy striped card! I kept the original size of the 'Thanks' so I could stamp over it with the companion stamp!

The fun background was created using the thin double line stamp from the new Crossing Lines set in bight, happy colors. I added in a few accent stamps from Big Chatter and some gold gems for shine!

On the inside, more happy stripes and a nice sentiment from the Bee Sweet stamp set! Someone should really do something nice for me so I can give them this great card as a thank you! Also, be sure and visit tomorrow for the first day of sneak peeks for the new July release from The Alley way Stamps! It's going to be awesome!

Jar of Sweetness!

Hi everyone! Have you seen the new mini Buggin' Out set from The Alley Way Stamps? Super cute images and a large jar image that just called out to be filled with goodies!

Of course, bright is my way to go, so I stamped a jar full of juicy strawberries on a gift tag! The berry image is from the Tooty Fruity set and I added a small scallop tag with a 'sweet' sentiment!

I scattered the small star image, also from Buggin' Out, in a bright red over the tag for a charming accent and topped the whole thing with cheerful ribbons! This would make a great companion to a jar of goodies from your own garden or from the wonderful farmers markets out this time of year!

Be sure and visit The Alley Way Stamps to see all of the new stamps for this month. This darling mini set, Buggin' Out, is yours free with a qualifying purchase! Pretty sweet, right?!

TAWS Be Inspired Challenge #54

Hi everyone! Summer is definitely upon us and I am sharing a card featuring a beautiful Summer creature- the butterfly! I'm highlighting some of the beautiful new stamp images from The Alley Way Stamps! This is for the Be Inspired Challenge that now runs for a whole month! Check it out! The inspiration photo inspired me to use lots of pastels and soft florals.

I love the stained glass look of this butterfly image from the TAWS stamp set Fly By. All those sections just calling out to be colored. I used some distress inks in soft pastel shades and colored this little cuties body and wings. I overlaid the image with a piece of card stock stamped with a leafy image from the Big Chatter set and added in some more pastel designer paper banners. Lots of sequins for shine and a little green bow make for a soft and happy card!

The inside is decorated only with more flag banners and shiny sequins but it won't stay this way for long! I will be adding in a sentiment or, better yet, a nice long message to the lucky recipient!
