Watercolor Mini!

Hi everyone! I have been on a mini kick recently! There are so many adorable and beautiful paper collections out there I feel that I must use them all! Mini's are one of my favorite things to create and this one is no exception!

This little adventure began when I spotted Glitz Design 'Wild and Free' and was immediately captured by its gorgeous hues and watercolor designs.  Plus, it's got lots of hearts in the collection and I'm a sucker for hearts! The 'Titles and Accents' sticker sheet has great graphic stickers too- lots of arrows, chevrons and feathers!

The chipboard pages were cut out in different shapes and covered with the stunning 'Wild and Free' 6x6 paper designs. Plus I used the journal and picture cards form the coordinating 'bits and pieces' and 'whatnots' to create extra pages and journaling spots in my mini. I created a bit of an interactive book by sewing some of the cards onto my pages and creating a page within a page. All the more room for cute pics and writing!

I wanted a lot of watercolor effect in the mini so I created my own watercolor ribbon by dying twill using mists! Messy but fun! I also used the mists and masks on some of the larger pages.

Please check out this quick little video I made showing all of the pages in this sweet mini!

Year of Memories!

Hi everyone! A 'Year of Memories' mini book is  a project that I have been wanting to create for a while- so glad I finally got around to it. This sweet little book turned out fabulously and it will become a treasured memento!

This adorable mini was created with the 'Finnley' paper collection and coordinating stamps from Glitz design.  I love the bold colors and geometric designs in this collection and the stamp set has some great images too! I took pictures of this great little book and thought about posting A LOT of them and then I had the bright idea to create a video instead to show more of the details!

Here are some of the inserts that I created for this mini book.  Aren't they sweet?

Some of the pockets stuffed with goodies!

Look how chunky this little book is.  Good thing, because I plan on filling it full of sweet memories!

Celebrate This Life!

Hi everyone! Another birthday card to share that I made using the Abstract Art stamp set from My Favorite Things. This time I combined these artful paint splatters with a Kaleidacolor stamp pad for a bold yet clean and simple design.

I kept the background nice and white to show off the gorgeous colors of the stamp pad and I simply added a few sequins and gems for a bit of sparkle.  The border at the top is actually a strip of paper punched on both edges and I topped that off with a twine bow.  The beautiful sentiment is perfect for a birthday wish.

For the inside, I added a few more paint droplets and put the pretty border at the bottom so it would show from the front of the card. Another birthday card to add to my stash!

Basket of Love!

Hi everyone! This is the year! The year that I finally make an advent calendar- something I have been wanting to do for a long time but always put off.  Of course, when I decide to make an advent calendar, I go all out and it took me a lot longer than I expected. But it was oh so worth it! Now my kids are grown and so they won't experience the firsthand joy of this advent calendar (I can hear them groaning "but Mom...you never did this for us...") but they will get to enjoy all of it's adorable-ness through pictures like you!

I knew that I wanted to do a big basket of goodies for my calendar and I picked this basket up at Hobby Lobby and gave it a few extra touches. Even with the bright confetti borders and big paper bow, it still looks a little forlorn empty....

So, I started with Crate Papers 'Bundled Up' collection and let me tell you, it was hard to pick a Christmas paper this year. They were all so beautiful! I also used the coordinating 'Bundled Up' die cuts and adhesive badges along with a bit of Echo Park's 'Tis the Season' paper. Below is the sweet basket full of Christmas goodies!

To make it a bit easier on the eyes, I photographed the goodies together in groups of eight.  I could have shown individual pictures of each but oh my gosh, this post would have gone on forever! These are days 1-8.

Here are the sweet packages for days 9-16!

And finally, the days of 17-24!

Of course, I had to show individual pictures of some of my favorites! It was so hard picking out just a few. Please enjoy the show!

Finally, a letter from the jolly man himself straight from the North Pole letting these lucky kids know they have made it on the 'Nice' list!

That's it!  Thanks so much for taking the time to have a look! I know it was a long post, but wasn't it fun? I will be giving this advent calendar  to a special little family that I know will have so much fun with each and every day. This truly was a labor of love.
